“AN ENTHUSIASTIC KNOWLEDGEABLE DIRECTOR WITH A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR”

“Our daughter Rose joined the Profound Sound Band at age nine with no previous clarinet instruction. She then learned to play both the clarinet and the bass clarinet. She has been part of each level of this band from beginning, to intermediate, to advanced and finally to very advanced level in the Profound Sound Band.

She has also taken private clarinet lessons with Eric Rainwater to help her improve clarinet technique. In addition, she has received instruction in music theory. Eric Rainwater is an enthusiastic knowledgeable director with a sense of humor. His interaction with both students and parents provides a family friendly atmosphere. He encourages students to take their music seriously but also desires for them to enjoy the music.

Often older students play alongside the younger students helping the younger students with their music. The older students learn how to share their knowledge with the younger students. Songs that are played are lively and demonstrate the different abilities of the instrumentalists. Band concerts are always phenomenal!

I am thankful that we discovered Mr. Eric Rainwater’s Profound Sound Band for our daughter to learn, grow and be enabled to further her dream of becoming a music teacher. She has already successfully completed music theory I and II at the college level.”
